Le fantôme du roi

Born in Paris, Raphaele Benisty studied documentary filmmaking before deciding to go to Burkina Faso in 2001, where she spent four years filming. She has directed several documentaries and participated in numerous international festivals. Her films are charged with a strong social setting and portray complex, outcast characters rarely seen on screen.
