BIARRITZ IMMERSIVE GLOSSARY
- Virtual reality (VR) is an immersive experience using a VR headset, that allows the spectator to move around and/or interact with a narrative.
- Augmented reality (AR) is an experience blending the real environment with virtual elements on a smartphone or tablet, that allows us to follow a narrative.
- A 360° film allows us to follow a linear narrative in all directions using a VR headset.
- Interactive storytelling is a narrative with which we can interact using a tablet, smartphone, or computer.
- A podcast is digital audio content that someone can listen to anywhere and anytime.
- A web series is a set of episodes designed specifically for online broadcasting.
- A mixed reality (MR) experience combines virtual reality and augmented reality. It allows for interaction with physical and virtual worlds through a virtual reality headset.
