Festivals Networks

‘Docs4Teens – Building Bridges’ was created In 2021, when four European festivals, Krakow Film Festival (Poland), Festival Dei Popoli (Italy), Fipadoc (France) and Docudays UA (Ukraine), joined forces to create a new European festival network, with the common goal to promote and help circulate European documentary films to young audiences across the territories. The network’s strong belief is that documentary film is an irreplaceable and unique way to learn about our world.

The dialogue established between the film and audiovisual festivals of Nouvelle-Aquitaine, within the framework of partnerships between events, led to the creation of an association. This is how, in the spring of 2020, the *Collectif des festivals de cinéma de Nouvelle-Aquitaine* was born. It was designed as a forum for reflection, complementary to the work already done by *Carrefour des festivals* at the national level. Its purpose is to strengthen the ties between its various members. It represents their interests and contributes to the European and international visibility of the region’s festivals. By fostering a better understanding of each other’s programming, it encourages collaboration. It also promotes projects for pooling resources: costs, knowledge, and expertise.

The Collective brings together the following festivals: Fifib (International Independent Film Festival of Bordeaux), Festival La Rochelle Cinéma, Poitiers Film Festival, Brive Film Festival, Fipadoc Biarritz, Filmer le Travail (Poitiers), Fifca (International Short Film Festival of Angoulême), Festival Biarritz América Latina, Rencontres Cinéma et Société, Les Escales Documentaires, Sarlat Film Festival, Pessac International History Film Festival, Rencontres du Cinéma Latino-Américain, Contis Film Festival, Rock This Town Festival in Pau, FIFO – International Ornithological Film Festival of Ménigoute.
