Janira is three years old and doesn’t speak like the other kids. She is happy surrounded by animals with whom she communicates in a special way and she seems to prefer their world to the human one. Growing up is unavoidable and soon she’ll have to decide between staying wild or adapt to society.

Maria Besora (Barcelona, 1991) she specializes in film editing (ESCAC), after studying Social and Cultural Anthropology (UB). In her work, she mixes ethnographic sensitivity and cinematographic experimentation.
Her debut short film Wild Animal has been produced by Escac films and currently in distribution. Winner of Best short Documentary in Cerdanya Film Festival, and Audience Award in Alcances Festival, also selected in IDFA, Docs Barcelona and D’A, 2021
