Building Memory: Writing, Commitment and Memory
Réalisation
Maite IBAÑEZ GOMEZ
Francoism did everything in its power to erase all traces of the civil war and the memory of those who resisted it. In the Basque Country, literature became a tool of resistance and reparation in the face of violence and censorship. It gave voice to those who had been silenced, laid the foundations for collective memory, and invited reflection on its political, social, and ethical role.
