When darkness falls on the mountain peaks of the Vosges, shadows pass, branches snap… A beast appears, following its sexual urges. Husky breathing, brutal fighting, and guttural cries ring out until the break of dawn… it is the legendary call of the stag.

Hippolyte Burkhart-Uhlen is a native of a valley in the Vosges Mountains. He graduated from IFFCAM after studying cinema in Nantes, Paris and Brussels. After meeting in Ménigoute, Vincent and Hippolyte found themselves on Corps à Cors with a common desire to make a hybrid project halfway between documentary and experimental cinema.
Vincent BENEDETTI-ICART
Vincent Benedetti-Icart, a graduate of the IFFCAM, studied biology and the environment while developing a passion for wildlife photography. It is in the mountains and forests of Ariège that he works as a director and chief-operator specialized in animal documentaries.
