God was Here!

Réalisation
Raluca LUPASCU

85 years ago, God came to the small village Maglavit and performed many miracles in which the whole community believes in. Placed in a rural community full of religious certainty, the film focuses on the inner struggle of a young shepherd, Lucian, who seems to be losing his faith in the place where God once came.

After studying Economics in Bucharest, Raluca (1989) moved to Amsterdam in search of her real passion. Due to her interest in stories and people, she found that in filmmaking. She was accepted at the NFA with 'Bunica', a film about the simple life of her Romanian grandmother. In 'Look at Me' she approached human duality with acceptance and respect while the analog double exposure visually supported the essence. Raluca embraces deeper meanings, visual experiments and ambivalent characters.
