In November 2018, the news flashes around the globe: a 27-year-old American man has died in mysterious circumstances on a tiny island in the Indian Ocean. The world discovers the existence of the Sentinels, the most isolated tribe on Earth, the most hostile to the intrusion of the modern world. John Chau, a young Evangelical, thought he could convert them.

Camille Le Pomellec has been a director and a freelance journalist for almost 20 years. A graduate of Lille's École Supérieure de Journalisme, he began his career with a series of documentaries for Arte including "Margaret Thatcher: the childhood of a chef", selected at FIPADOC in 2005. From 2007, he moved into investigative journalism for France Télévisions and Canal+. Between 2014 and 2018, he joined the Babel Presse press agency in India as a deputy editor-in-chief and directed several documentaries in South Asia. "Migrants, the solution of the Pacific" received in 2016 the Audienze prize at the FIGRA (International Festival of Major News Reports) and a Star at the SCAM Awards. Since his return to France, he has been working for France Télévisions, Arte, La Revue XXI and Netflix.
