Les Enfants
Réalisation
Rodolphe MARCONI
Every year in France, hundreds of children are placed in a foster home or children's foster home. We never talk about them. The situations are diverse, violence, incest, drugs... Four months to watch them in a shelter, to approach them, to love them and to try to understand what their life is and will be.

Rodolphe Marconi began directing with a short film entitled Stop, for which he received the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Festival in 1999.
He then spent a year at the Villa Médicis, where he shot his first feature film, Défense d'aimer, in which he played the lead role.
Back in France, he shot Ceci est mon corps (with Louis Garrel, Melanie Laurent and Jane Birkin), then Le dernier jour (with Gaspard Ulliel, Mélanie Laurent and Nicole Garcia), two years later. In 2008, he embarked on a journey with Karl Lagerfeld, whom he filmed non-stop for two years to make his next documentary, Lagerfeld Confidentiel, which will be released in cinemas around the world.
In 2019, he went to Auvergne to film a farmer for four months, for which he made a documentary entitled Cyrille, agriculteur, 30 ans, 20 vaches, du lait, du beurre, des dettes (Cyrille, a farmer, 30 years old, 20 cows, milk, butter, debts), which was released in February 2020 in the cinema and nominated for the Césars 2021.
In 2021, Rodolphe Marconi went to La Rochelle to meet foster children. For several months, he will try to understand their lives: their desires, their difficulties and their dreams. His film, Les Enfants, will be released in 2023.
