1927 – legendary French aviator Charles Nungesser is lost at sea aboard L’Oiseau blanc, the plane in which he was attempting an Atlantic crossing. In this animation, his life flashes before his eyes: a life of challenges, flirting with danger and death. This time, it appears his final moments are upon him.

Mathieu Epiney is a Swiss director, born in 1982. After studying 3D Computer Graphics at ARIES in Annecy, he worked as a graphic designer, and then started directing in 2006. He has directed several animated films including Trottoir (2009) and Spermathomme (2012). His latest short film Cyclopèdes (2014) was awarded the Taurus Studio Prize for the best soundtrack at the Animatou Festival and the High Swiss Risk Award at the Fantoche Festival.
