India,1977. PK, a 23-year-old artist from a poor, “untouchable” family, sketches tourists on the streets of New Delhi while waiting for the soulmate predicted in his horoscope. He believes he recognizes her in Lotta, a Swedish woman whose portrait he has drawn. He then buys a second-hand bicycle and sets off on a 6.000-mile journey across two continents to find her.
