Each year, hundreds of students majoring in Audiovisual, Journalism, History, and Fine Arts come to the festival to discover international films, meet the directors and stimulate their creativity. Campus builds bridges between these future professionals and the industry by inviting them to attend roundtables, case studies, and pitch sessions.
New Talent is a selection of graduation films chosen by the festival to give exposure to new directors and shine a spotlight on their dynamism and creativity. Every year, the selection is updated and enriched with new styles, narrative forms, and differing aesthetics – in tune with today’s world and its stories; a chance for audiences to discover emerging cinematic trends!
Each year, Fipadoc Campus assembles a jury of seven European students and young directors to attend the festival in Biarritz. The program gathers young people interested in documentary, European history and its issues to reward the best documentary in the European (Hi)stories section – featuring about twelve European films.
The Campus Pro stream is a special programme for students wishing to attend some of Fipadoc’s Industry Days. This stream offers a range of tailor-made activities: a combination of pitch sessions, conferences and roundtables on specific themes aligned with the questions and interests of these aspiring professionals. This will give participants their first overview of the documentary industry, allowing them to deepen their knowledge and start developing their professional network. Campus Pro helps them to take their first real steps in the industry.
