Woman, Life, Freedom -

Réalisation

After the death of Jina Mahsa Amini, a young woman killed by the Iranian police in 2022, more than fifty graphic designers and press cartoonists have committed to supporting the fight for women and freedom in Iran. Their creations inspired by posters from the Russian, Cuban and May 68 revolutions, and Persian graphic codes, were exhibited by several Parisian museums during International Women’s Rights Day on March 8, 2023.

The exhibition "Woman, Life, Freedom" originates from the book "A Iranian Revolution: Woman, Life, Freedom" published by Beaux-Arts de Paris editions, in collaboration with the Museum of Modern Art of Paris, the Palais de Tokyo, and the Palais de la Porte Dorée. Posters were produced by Studio Alambic and printed for Fipadoc by students from the workshop of Julien Sirjacq at the Beaux-Arts de Paris: Parella Armand, Driss Tillais, Chahid Elbatti, and Feryel Kaabeche.

Find a selection of these works from January 20 to 27, 2024, in the ambulatory of the Casino de Biarritz.

Fipadoc dedicates this exhibition to Narges Mohammadi, Iranian journalist, Nobel Peace Prize, 2023.
