
ÉTATS GÉNÉRAUX DE L’INFORMATION -
The États généraux de l’information (EGI) were launched in October 2023, in France, with the aim of perpetuating free and independent information. The steering committee is chaired by Bruno Lasserre, president of the Commission for Access to Administrative Documents, and the general delegate is Christophe Deloire, head of Reporters Without Borders.
The objective is to propose by the summer 2024 a concrete action plan reinforcing the right to information in France. This process is enriched by contributions from professionals
and civil society collected during a tour of France.
The États Généraux will stop at Fipadoc in Biarritz, where meetings will be organized with citizens and professionals to collect their proposals for the information world of tomorrow.

Session for professionals: Thursday, January 25 from 11am to 12pm at Bellevue, in the presence of Christopher Baldelli, president of Public Senat and of the “The future of news media and journalism” working group.
