In a small village community in the rural north of Sierra Leone a farmer has to fight daily to provide for his family. His real goal however is breaking the vicious cycle of poverty by helping his kids to get an education. Despite his limited resources he embarks on an adventurous journey to bear the burden of development for a future generation.

Felix Golenko discovered his fascination with cinematic storytelling through a documentary film project he started in Uganda in 2013. In the following years he autodidactically learned his skills and developed his handwriting. Since 2015 he has also been working as a freelancer on several productions. Since 2016 he has been studying directing at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg with a focus on documentary film. His films are always defined by strong protagonists and a deep, personal closeness.
