In Galera is the world's first restaurant set within a detention center. The inmates who work there, both in the dining room and in the kitchen, are taming the idea of a future, developing their skills and learning to face the eyes and preconceptions of customers who are also baffled by these unexpected encounters. The restaurant is not only a place of employment for the inmates, it is also an innovative way for society to open up a dialogue between prison reality and the outside world.
