After a Master's degree in Journalism at the Institute of Political Studies in Toulouse and a Master's degree in "documentary filmmaking and archive development" at the University of Bordeaux 3, Brice Gravelle joined the film cooperative les mutins de Pangée. Archivist in 2014 for the documentary Howard Zinn, a popular American history (Olivier Azam and Daniel Mermet), Des idées de génie is his first feature documentary.
