Ferenj: A Graphic Memoir in VR

This afrosurreal dreamscape, created from the director’s childhood memories, traverses continents and consciousness from Ohio to Ethiopia. The work reclaims Ethiopian-American mixed-race identity, redefines boundaries between memory and digital imaginary, and challenges reductive narratives of Africa.
