War in Ukraine from its beginning has taken away thousands of households and lives as well. Kharkiv was one of the towns which was hit in a massive way. In this immersive experience in virtual reality inspired by the famous Marina Abramović performance The Artist Is Present you look into the eyes of those who lost their homes.

Ondřej is an XR media artist, screenwriter and writer. He also works as a VR programmer at several film festivals in the Czech Republic and promotes virtual reality in the film world. His interactive VR debute Darkening about dealing with depression was premiered at Venice FF in 2022. He was a Program Director at One World International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival for seven years. He also worked for Czech Television at the Culture Newsroom department. Ondřej studied Screenwriting at FAMU and Journalism at Charles University.
Volodymyr KOLBASA
Volodymyr is filmmaker and media artist with experience in both classical cinema and immersive XR and media art projects.
Graduated from the MA Digital Narratives program at the International Film School Cologne and holds an MA in Cinematography from the Viewfinder MA Erasmus Mundus program. In addition to working in cinema, has experience in developing AR projects for museum spaces and VR interactive films. He is an author of the media art exhibition Mimoza (2019) or Neutralization (2023), exhibited in the Czech Republic and Ukraine and co-author of the VR project Fresh Memories: The Look premiered in 2023 at SXSW festival.
