Iranian poet Hamid Hajizadeh and his young son, Karun, were murdered in 1998. Going back in time like navigating a long river, memories flood into the poet's office where the tragedy took place.

Born in 1991, Sahand is a filmmaker and visual artist grappling with historical archives, literature and photography. In his work, he seeks innovative narrative pathways through an unconventional exploration of history and unofficial narratives. Alumnus of Berlinale Talents, he graduated from Tehran University's Faculty of Fine Arts with a degree in theater and dramatic literature. He was awarded the Emerging Video Prize at the 39th VIDEOFORMES festival.
