Academy Award, BAFTA and Grammy winning director Asif Kapadia has made his name directing films exploring ‘outsiders’, characters living in extreme circumstances. Kapadia works in fiction and documentaries, he is best known for his trilogy of narratively driven, archive constructed documentaries depicting the ‘pressure of fame’: SENNA, AMY & DIEGO MARADONA.
More recently Kapadia was Series Director and Executive Producer of ‘1971:The Year Music Changed Everything’ and 'The Me You Can't See'.
