On a beach in the south of the island, Raphaël, a Haitian child abandoned at birth, is raised in the greatest poverty by a white woman in her sixties. Diane left everything behind when he was entrusted to her and has been fighting for ten years to become his legal mother. In a troubled Haiti, Diane loses ground, and Raphaël builds his life.

Jérôme Clément-Wilz is a French director of short and feature-length fiction films, documentaries and music videos. His latest documentary project, Être cheval for France Télévisions, has been selected and rewarded at numerous international festivals. He is currently adapting Judith Duportail's book, L'amour sous algorithme, for France 2's Infrarouge series. Jérôme is a graduate of UC Berkeley, Sciences Po Paris and Paris VIII.
