The Little Prince, his star, his rose and his fox have become global heroes under the pen of Saint-Exupéry. The tiny book that became his great book took shape during a period rich in political, amorous and artistic intrigues. Using archives, original drawings, personal writings, photos and animation, the film unveils the little-known circumstances surrounding the writing of this masterpiece.

Vincent Nguyen, producer and director, started at France 2 (the main French public channel) twenty-five years ago. A senior reporter for TV news and current affairs, notably Envoyé Spécial and Un Oeil sur la Planète. He also created with Laurent Delahousse programmes such as "Un jour un Destin" and "13h15". Then he left France Télévisions to create and host documentary series for Arte (Par Avion) and France 5 (360@). He directed several long feature documentaries before moving to the Catalan capital and founding his own production company, with Katia Pinzon.
