Ander thinks that his father was a victim of torture in a police station. He explores this state violence, meets psychiatrists, lawyers who have used a scientific approach: the "Istanbul protocol" and have developed the "Research project on torture and ill treatments in the Basque Country between 1960-2014".

He is graduated in Fine Arts from Barcelona University and in direction of fiction from ESCAC (Catalonian School of Cinema and Audio). He has directed documentaries and short fiction films. His work has been shown at San Sebastian International Festival and also in New York, Sitges and Malaga. In 2018 he received the award for Best Project at the Lau Haizetara co-production forum at the San Sebastian International Film Festival. Currently, he combines his work in cinema with teaching at the Kunsthal study center and the Larrotxene film and video school.
