On January 13th, 2018, all of Hawaii received an SMS which read: "BALLISTIC MISSILE THREAT INBOUND TO HAWAII. SEEK IMMEDIATE SHELTER. THIS IS NOT A DRILL." For 38 minutes every citizen of Hawaii experienced a full nuclear alert in a world where nuclear weapons exist.

Pierre ZANDROWICZ

Pierre Zandrowicz is a film director with a passion. He works at the crossroads of technology,, theatre, art, and film. Every new technological step is considered, examined, tested and, if viable, adopted and used. His most recent works include the film, "Ex Anima", made with Bartabbas, and shot in stereoscopic 360. It was produced by Arte and MK2. His immersive films, “I, Phlip” and “Alteration” made in 2016 and 2017 were both co-produced with ARTE France and hold several nominations and awards

Mike BRETT

Mike Brett and Steve Jamison are co-founders of the production studio Archer's Mark. Their first film, the feature-length documentary NEXT GOAL WINS, received critical acclaim upon its release. After premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival, it won the British Independent Film Award (BIFA) for Best Documentary, earning the duo recognition as Screen International Future Leaders and inclusion in BAFTA's Breakthrough program. They went on to produce the Emmy Award-winning New York Times opinion film NOTES ON BLINDNESS (directed by Peter Middleton and James Spinney). The first feature film of the same name premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and earned six BIFA nominations (including Best Documentary) and three BAFTA nominations, including Best Documentary and Best British Film. The film's multi-award winning VR companion piece (co-produced with the Atlas V team) also premiered at Sundance and has become a landmark work in the immersive space. Recent projects include Roy Andersson's highly acclaimed documentary BEING A HUMAN PERSON, which earned Mike & Steve a third consecutive BIFA nomination for Best Documentary, and THE REAL CHARLIE CHAPLIN. Funded by Showtime, Film4 and the BFI, the film premiered at the 2021 Telluride Film Festival and was nominated for three Critics' Choice Documentary Awards. They are currently producing Taika Waititi's narrative remake of NEXT GOAL WINS for Searchlight Pictures.

Dr. Jamaica HEOLIMELEIKALANI OSORIO

Dr. Jamaica Heolimeleikalani Osorio is a Kanaka Maoli wahine artist/activist/academic/storyteller born and raised in Pālolo Valley, daughter of Jonathan and Mary Osorio. Heoli received her PhD in English (Hawaiian Literature) in 2018 from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. Currently, Heoli is an assistant professor of Native American and Hawaiian politics at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. Heoli is a three-time national poetry champion, poetry mentor, and published author. In 2020, her poetry and activism were featured in the award-winning film, This is the Way we Rise (directed by Ciara Lacey), which was featured in Vogue.com and at the Sundance Film Festival. She is a proud Kaiāpuni alumna, Ford Scholar, and graduate of Kamehameha, Stanford University (BA), and New York University (MA). Her book Remembering our Intimacies: Moʻolelo, Aloha ʻĀina, and Ea was published in 2021 by The University of Minnesota Press.
