The Dam

Natalia Koniarz - director and screenwriter. She studied film directing at the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School. Her first documentary, The Dam, about a man meeting her father, a homeless alcoholic, was awarded at the New Horizons IFF in Wrocław. It also won the main prize at the FIPADOC Festival in France, Go Short in the Netherlands, and DOKer in Moscow. Natalia’s next film East-West also enjoyed a positive reception. It was screened at many film festivals worldwide. Her latest mid-length documentary Postcard from The Verge is awaiting cinema release. This is a pandemic vision of the world of two filmmakers who get stuck on the border in Chile. The World Is Not (A) Mine is Natalia’s second film made in South America.
