Carl Olsson, born in 1984 in Kalmar, Sweden, is a film director based in Copenhagen, working mainly in Sweden and Denmark. He graduated from the National Film School of Denmark (2009–2013) and also studied at Dramatiska Institutet and Nordens Folkhögskola Biskops Arnö in Stockholm. His graduation film Blessed Be This Place (2013) was nominated for a Robert Award and won several international prizes. Since then, he has directed three feature documentaries, which have received multiple nominations at international festivals and for the Swedish Film Awards.
