Sam Cox is a shy, different little English boy in the 90s. He found refuge in drawing, inventing characters with black lines on a white background. As he grew older, his passion for drawing became more and more compulsive. Now a recognized artist – Mr Doodle – he fights to avoid being overwhelmed by his obsession.

Jaimie D’Cruz started out in journalismimmersed in underground music culture as theeditor ofTouch an independent music magazine he launched in the early 90s. Moving into documentary film making with films focused on music and pop culture, he was nominated for an Academy Award and a BAFTA in 2011 for Exit Through The Gift Shop,the feature length documentary he made with Banksyand which went on to win an Independent Spirit Award, two Cinema Eye Awards and a Grierson amongst many others. In 2011 Jaimie also launchedhis independent production company, Acme. Acme has since built a reputation for a diverse range of content includinga BAFTA and RTS-winning original drama seriesa well as multiple documentaries, music programmes and arts films. Recent awards include a Broadcast Award, an RTS Award, a Grierson Award and two BAFTA Craft nominations.Jaimie has Executive Produced multiple films for Acme such as The Alternativity, following director Danny Boyle as he tries to stage a Nativityplayin the car park of Banksy’s Walled Off Hotel in Bethlehem and a Grierson Award-winning documentary about the devastating impact that the death of Damilola Taylor had on the lives of his community in South London. He has also directed films including Lawful Killing, a 90 minute drama doc for the BBC about the police shooting of Mark Duggan in 2011, the event which triggered the worst disturbances ever seen in Britain, The Last Pirates celebrating the untold story of how pirate radio changed the face of British pop culture in the 1980s and Hip Hop World News a feature length doc for the BBC which looked at big issues like education, politics, religion and the police though the lens, lyrics and lifestyles of Hip Hop.

Ed Perkins is an Academy Award®-nominated (“Black Sheep”) documentary filmmaker whose films have won numerous international awards. He has worked exclusively at Lightbox for the past five years where he has made many of his films, and has previously been named a BAFTA Breakthrough Brit.Throughout his career, Ed has directed films for Netflix, the BBC, HBO, Sky, The Guardian, National Geographic and Channel 4. In 2009, Ed directed the behind-the-scenes documentaries for “Project Nim,”“The Eagle,”the BAFTA-winning “The Imposter,”and the Academy Award®-winning “Searching for Sugar Man.”In 2015 Ed made his first feature documentary, “Garnet’s Gold,”which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival 2014 and won a number of awards including the Grierson Award for Best Newcomer. Ed then went on to make “If I Die on Mars”which has had more than1,000,000 views over multiple platforms, and “Bare Knuckle Fight Club”for Channel 4 and FX Studios, of which The Times said, “You will not have seen a better documentary this year.”In 2018 Ed directed “Black Sheep,”a documentary short for The Guardian, which won 13 international awards and was nominated for Best Documentary Short at the 91st Academy Awards. In 2019 Ed directed “Tell Me Who I Am,”a Netflix Original feature documentary, which was nominated for a British Independent Film Award.
