Wolobougou means “the place of benevolent birth” in the Bambara language. It is the name chosen by Honorine Soma for the bush maternity hospital she founded in Burkina Faso. Honorine wants to revolutionize the place of women in Burkinabe society, in particular by providing them access to healthcare in rural areas.
