Ilir Hasanaj is a film director from Kosovo, raised in Switzerland. Prior to earning his degree in Film from the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK), he worked for several years as a computer scientist. His documentary me dasht' me dasht' me dasht' enjoyed a successful festival run from 2017 to 2020, with screenings at prominent events such as the Toronto Hot Docs Film Festival, the Solothurn Film Festival, and Dokufest, where it won the Audience Award. Ilir currently resides in Pristina, Kosovo, where he continues to create films with a strong social focus.
