FIPADOC INTERNATIONAL PITCHES
CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
FIPADOC is calling for documentary projects for its section International Pitches, where 24 fresh documentary projects will be presented to a wide group of international funders. The International Pitches is part of FIPADOC’s Industry Days, running January 27-30, 2025.
The submission deadline is October 24, 2024.
During the FIPADOC International Pitches the 24 selected project teams will pitch to 60+ international funders from Europe and beyond. This includes decision makers from funders like France TV, ARTE, RTBF, RTS, SVT, BBC, Current Time TV, Al Jazeera, ZDF as well as distributors and funds. To further strengthen the potential outcome of the pitch, FIPADOC will schedule hundreds of tailor-made individual meetings between the pitch teams and the potential funders.
Prior to coming to FIPADOC to pitch their projects, the selected teams will participate in an online booster workshop, run by international pitching experts. They will facilitate pitch strategies and concrete enhancements on the presentations of each project.
Upon the conclusion of the FIPADOC International Pitches a specially dedicated jury will select a number of award winners. The 2025 edition will among others include the following awards:
◤Best International Pitch Award
◤Best French Pitch Award
◤DocsBarcelona Award : Selection of one project presented at FIPADOC for the DocsBarcelona Pitching Forum (May 2025).
◤DOK.fest München Award : Selection of one project presented at FIPADOC for the DOK.fest München Pitching Forum 2025.
◤San Sebastian – Lau Haizetara Award : Selection of one project presented at FIPADOC for the Lau Haizetara Documentary Pitching Forum (San Sebastian International Film Festival, September 2025).
◤Bio to B Award: Selection of one project presented at FIPADOC to attend Bio to B – Industry Days (Biografilm, Bologna).
◤Dotimages Award : €3,000 in cash provided by the Dotimages Endowment Fund to support the financing of the films.

The final day to submit your project for the FIPADOC International Pitches is October 24, 2024.
Filmmakers from the 2025 countries in focus (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Greece, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Slovenia) as well as filmmakers from Ukraine may submit their projects for free. Please, contact industry@fipadoc.com for a waiver.
The 2025 FIPADOC festival will take place from January 24 to February 1 in Biarritz, France.
