EUROPEANS FIRST FILMS PITCHES 2026: CALL FOR PROJECTS

The call for projects for the 2026 edition of Fipadoc European First Films Pitches is open !

This call for projects is open to directors and producers until Friday, October 31 2025.

• The European First Films Pitches session will take place during the next edition of the festival, in Biarritz, from January 23 to 31, 2026.
• The chosen projects will be pitched on January 27, 2026, on site by their project holders to professionals attending Fipadoc Industry Days.
• All selected projects will benefit from an online meeting with a moderator and will profit from a tailored coaching.
• The participation is free of charge.

◤ PROJECT ELIGIBILITY & PROJECT SELECTION

Before starting your submission, please download and read carefully our official regulations about Project Eligibility & Selection.

IMPORTANT: Please note that all projects submitted to Fipadoc International Pitches and meeting the eligibility criterias for the European First Films Pitches will systematically be considered for the latter, event without submitting through the link below.

WHICH SESSION CAN I SUBMIT MY PROJECT FOR ? 

Directors submitting their project must come from/live in territories participating in the Doc Around Europe festival network (Biografilm, DocsBarcelona, DOK.fest München, MakeDox, Verzió, and FIPADOC):

- Italy,
- France, French speaking Belgium, Luxembourg,
- Germany, Austria, German speaking South Tyrol,
- Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia
- Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia
- Spain

◤ PROJECT APPLICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

A complete project application should be submitted online by the project deadline : Friday, October 31 2025. Please have all the material listed below in the application form guidelines ready before you begin. All material must be in English.
An incomplete application cannot be validated by the system.

◤ ACCREDITATION

• The festival will grant the director of selected projects a free Fipadoc professional pass.
• The festival is able to cover part of the accommodation and/or transport costs for the directors of selected projects.
