Now you can submit your documentary project for the Fipadoc International Pitches. Here you can be among the 24 teams, with fresh documentary projects presented to a large group of international funders.
The International Pitches take place on January 28-29, 2026 in Biarritz.
During the Fipadoc International Pitches the 24 selected project teams will pitch to 60+ international funders from Europe and beyond. Traditionally, decision makers from France TV, ARTE, RTBF, RTS, SVT, Al Jazeera, ZDF and many other broadcasters are present together with distributors, sales agents, festival programmers and film funds. To strengthen the potential outcome of the pitches, Fipadoc will schedule hundreds of tailor-made individual meetings between the pitch teams and these decision makers.
If you are selected to pitch at Fipadoc, you will participate in an online booster workshop, prior to coming to the pitch. The booster is run by international pitching experts, facilitating pitch strategies and concrete enhancements on the presentations of each project.
To celebrate the 24 selected projects, the Fipadoc International Pitches conclude with an award ceremony, where the following awards will be presented: (*)
◤ Best International Pitch Award
◤ Best French Pitch Award
◤ Public Sénat Award: Pre-buy for the selected project
◤ Dotimages Award : €3,000 in cash sponsored by the Dotimages Fund to support the financing of a cinematographic or creative documentary project.
◤ Docs Up Fund Award : €2,500 in cash and editorial mentoring sponsored by Docs Up Fund to support a documentary project committed to defend human rights around the world.
◤ Cat&Docs Award : Consultancy on festival, marketing and distribution strategies in reaching international audiences.
◤ DocsBarcelona Award: Selection of one project presented at Fipadoc for the Docs Barcelona Pitching Forum 2026.
◤ DOK.fest München Award: Selection of one project presented at Fipadoc for the DOK.fest München Pitching Forum 2026.
◤ San Sebastian Award: Selection of one project presented at Fipadoc for the Lau Haizetara Documentary Pitching Forum 2026 (San Sebastian International Film Festival).
◤ Bio to B Award: Selection of one project presented at Fipadoc to attend Bio to B – Industry Days (Biografilm Festival).

During the 2026 edition of Fipadoc, Portugal and Spain are the countries in focus. Therefore, filmmakers from Portugal can submit their projects for free and filmmakers from Spain get a 50% discount on their submissions. Filmmakers from Palestine and Ukraine are also invited to submit their projects for free.
The International Pitches take place within the 2026 Fipadoc Industry Days, running January 26-29. These are the industry activities connected to the 2026 Fipadoc festival taking place from January 23 to 31, in Biarritz, France.
