To illustrate the poster for the 2025 edition of the festival, the Fipadoc team chose a photograph by Jens Lucking, a photographer who grew up between Berlin and Amsterdam.
According to the photographer’s recollections, the photograph was taken in 2001 with a Hasselblad 503CW camera, a 2.8/80mm lens, and Kodak Portra 400 VC 120 film.
This image is part of a series of photographs intended to represent, in his own words: perseverance, risk, and determination, as well as a kind of desire to escape everything—such as work, society, and normality— in order to find oneself and one’s role in life.
The photograph used for the poster shows the determination of the subject to succeed, to reach their goal: to cross a rough sea. The poster is thus an invitation to perseverance and tenacity, a call not to give up in the face of obstacles that may arise along our path.
