Fab UK : Fipadoc resonates with emotions, transformations, and revolutions
“Every year, Fipadoc resonates with emotions, transformations, and revolutions, both intimate and collective, during each session. The festival is for everyone! It encompasses all destinations, all genres of writing, and all tastes. The programming spans urban and rural, cultural and scientific worlds, from the nearest – the Basque country – to the most distant in Europe, Asia, or Africa. These are raw exhibitions, illuminated and placed within the context of narratives, telling us about the world, our worlds. Short, long, immersive, in series… presented by established directors and young talents.”

Quebec Nouvelles: Noire leaves a lasting impression.
“Noire leaves a lasting impression. Andrés Jarach, who heads the Immersive department at FIPADOC, explains the sensations felt: ‘We are not just spectators. The experience becomes physical. And the memory we keep within ourselves resembles a lived emotion. This production may embody the best of what is being done in this rapidly growing field. ‘Technology is evolving rapidly, and the genre is reaching a certain maturity, with a focus on writing,’ observes Andrés Jarach, himself a filmmaker. Gone are the days of carrying computers on your back or wearing helmets like the Daft Punk.'”

Diversity of perspectives, creativity, and sensibilities: the international festival highlighted nearly 180 works, including feature-length, medium-length, and short films, and awarded fifteen of them. This award list combines journalistic impact, contemplation of the persistence of a world, or a poetic-political look at the female condition… As the first major documentary event of the year, Fipadoc launches 2024 by honoring unique writings, some of which will soon be discovered in theaters and on television.”
