The film follows Chinese revolutionary artist and activist Ai Weiwei during his directorial debut of Giacomo Puccini’s Turandot in the Opera House of Rome. The opera, composed 100 years ago, is still as vital and as relevant, and plays many reflections on the life of Ai Weiwei, who champions human rights and freedom of expression.
