Samantha OROZCO CARVALLO
Samantha Orozco Carvallo (Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, México in 1996). Biomedical engineer.
In 2013 she began to make small short films as an amateur. But it was until 2016 where she participated in an intensive film course where he began the development of her first professional project: Esmeralda (2021), a hybrid documentary with the stop motion animation. Esmeralda Project received an award for development from the DOCS Mx platform and the Instituto Mexicano de Cinematografía (IMCINE) in 2019 and in 2021 the film was selected for the Film Festivals Zanate and Tous Courts, in Mexico and in France respectively.
Samantha maintains a close relationship between her professional studies and artistic career it considers that both complement each other.

Francisco MACHADO
Francisco Machado Moreno (Mexico, 1992) Degree in Psychology. He has studied documentary film diplomas, as well as courses and workshops on all aspects of film. His first documentary short film, Sueño de juguetes (2014), was awarded in several festivals in Mexico (Honorable Mention in ShortShorts MX 2014) In 2017 he was part of the Young Jury of the DocsMx Festival. His second project Esmeralda (2021), co-director and producer, is a hybrid documentary with stop motion animation, premiered internationally at the Tous Courts Festival in France.
He is currently working on his debut feature, El lenguaje del dolor (The language of pain), a documentary that addresses the issue of self-harm in adolescents, and for which he has won the EFD award at the DocsLab of the DocsMX festival (2020).
