Nick is a multi BAFTA and Emmy award winning director. His debut film ‘Guys and Dolls’, about men and their imitation girlfriends, won plaudits for its restraint and sensitivity.
In 2011 ‘Between Life and Death’ (BBC One) captured the public imagination and front pages with its raw and powerful insight into end of life decisions. The film won numerous awards and Nick was named as one of the 42 inaugural ‘Bafta Brits to Watch’.
Nick then explored the inner workings of the criminal justice system, most notably in ‘The Murder Trial’ (Channel 4) which scooped a BAFTA, RTS and Broadcast award for best documentary single.
In 2019, he transitioned into scripted drama with BBC Two’s Emmy award winning single ‘Responsible Child’ (Kudos/72 Films) – the story of a 12 year old boy facing trial for murder. It starred Tom Burke and featured a breakout performance from relative newcomer Billy Barratt.
During the pandemic Nick directed the moving account of four patients in ‘Surviving Covid’ (Channel 4) which picked up Bafta and RTS nominations.
