Claude Volhiron, a singer, and journalist from Auvergne (France), claims to have encountered a UFO one evening in 1973 and to have become Raël, the prophet of extraterrestrials. A high-profile guru, he attracts thousands of fans, fleeing from country to country in the wake of sectarian accusations. Critics, followers and Raël himself recount how a UFO-inspired religion spiraled into a controversial cult.

After starting his career in the realms of radio, cinema, and advertising, Antoine Baldassari has been a producer and director for television for over twenty years. His career has led him to collaborate with major audiovisual production groups such as Fremantle, Endemol, Shine, and Zodiak, before joining the Banijay group to lead the KM subsidiary for six years. He has created, produced, and directed numerous documentary-event series and adapted international formats for French premium television channels as well as for Netflix
Manuel GUILLON
Manuel Guillon has been working, transforming and making films as a director, film editor or artistic director for twenty years.
He is passionate about cinema. He’s always wanted to create films and tell stories. He was able to express himself mostly by editing documentaries or documentary series.
He has learnt all the stages of filmmaking and has been involved for the past ten years in all aspects of production: filming, editing, managing music composers, creating opening credits and trailers, refining visuals, up to color grading and sound mixing. All of this with the added advantage of being able to edit the films he directs.
