Cristiano Giamporcaro was born in the Sicilian hinterland, in Caltanissetta, where he grew up and lived until he was eighteen. He graduated with a thesis in Sociology of Communication at the Academy of Fine Arts in Catania and from there continued his studies by attending the Documentary Directing course at Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia where he graduated in 2023.
