Jennie Williams is an Inuit visual artist and throat singer from Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Labrador. As a professional photographer, she creates powerful images that capture the cultural landscape and life of the Inuit. Her moving photographs have been acclaimed across the country, have been part of the SakKijâjuk travelling exhibition and are featured in the Future Possible series at The Rooms Provincial Gallery and the Bonavista Biennial (2021). Jennie's compelling photographs have also been published in recognized magazines such as Inuit Art Quarterly and Canadian Art. Her work has been recognized with awards such as the Elbow Room Residency and the Hnatyshyn Foundation's REVEAL Indigenous Art Award (2017). His longest running project is a 12 year photographic series about Labrador traditions entitled Nalujuk Night.
