Marta Smerechynska (born 1997) is a Ukrainian documentary filmmaker. Shegraduated from KNUTKiT in Kyiv, La Fémis in Paris, and the DocNomads Master’sprogram in Portugal, Hungary, and Belgium. Her films have been screened atmore than 30 festivals, including Visions du Réel, the Sarajevo Film Festival, DMZDocs, PÖFF Shorts, and FIPADOC. Her recent works explore different facets ofthe Ukrainian experience in times of war.
