Silvia Perra was born in Sardinia in 1988. She graduated in Film Direction from Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome. Her short films have been screened in Italian festivals such us Turin Film Festival, and in Academy award short film and BAFTA Qualifying festival such us Premiers Plans d’Angers IFF, DokuFest IFF, Tirana IFF, among others. As screenwriter she won several prize like he ARTE Kino International Prize. She has been chosen as artist in residence at Moulin d'Andé, France.
