Giusi Restifo (1998) graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Palermo with a degree in Audio, Video and Multimedia (2020), and in 2025 she completed her studies at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia – Sicily campus, specializing in documentary. Her first work, Real Guadagna, co-directed with Laura d’Angeli, was presented at the 41st edition of the Bellaria Film Festival and won the jury prize at the Via Emilia Doc Film Festival. In 2023, she worked on the collective film Parabole d’oro, which was presented at the 3° edition of the Unarchive Film Festival and at the Taormina Film Festival. She attended the “DOC & SHOW FOR KIDS AND TEEN” course organized by the Toscana Film Commission. In 2025, she completed an internship in the editorial/production department at RAI, following all stages of the creation of Mediterraneo (a TGR Sicilia segment). She is currently working at Centro Tau – a cultural promotion association – where she leads filmmaking workshops for boys and girls. Her graduation project is the short film Com’ero io (2025).
