George was a very unruly and pampered child, due to a congenital disability, he was born with one leg longer than the other. He spent two grades of elementary school as a bedridden patient at the Children's Hospital, undergoing an experimental treatment for that time. Returning back to his village, he began to attend church and became monk.

Maria Pilati is a graduate of the Department of Philosophy and Education with a major in Philosophy and student in the Department of Cinema (Fine Arts) with a major in Directing of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki since 2018. She holds a master’s degree in Special Education and with a four-year training in Systemic Family Therapy. She has completed a two-year program in Comics and Micro Sculpture. The film “Aside” is her first documentary.
