Ana Vijdea was born and brought up in Romania. She studied Cinematography and Media at Babes-Bolyai (RO), Film Directing and Production à Syracuse University (USA), and in 2023 she graduated from DocNomads, an international master’s program in documentary filmmaking. Throughout her studies she made several films that were screened and awarded at international film festivals such as IDFA, True/False, Doclisboa, Visions du Réel among others. In 2017 she was named one of the “25 New Faces if Independant Cinema” by Filmmaker Magazine.
