Sergio, 260 kilos, is the disowned son of a Mafia boss. He's known as the “King of Bosco Grande”, a working-class district of Palermo. In his small apartment, he lives motionless on his bed, and the world comes to him. Having miraculously reached the age of 50, Sergio decides to put an end to his addictions.

Giuseppe Schillaci lives in Paris, where he works as a director and writer. A member of Eurodoc, he has taken part in several international festivals (Torino Film Festival, Docs Barcelona, Thessaloniki, IDS, IDFA Amsterdam, Hot Docs Toronto). In 2010, he published his first novel, “L'anno delle ceneri” (Nutrimenti Editions), nominated for the Premio Strega 2010 and finalist for the Prix John Fante 2011, reissued in 2022 by Nutrimenti. In 2015, he published his second novel “Letà definitiva” (Liberaria Edizioni), previewed at the Turin Book Fair.
Schillaci is editor-in-chief of the literary blog Nazione Indiana. He contributes to Revue Litteraire (Leo Scheer Editions) and Atelier du Roman (Flammarion), Canadian magazine Les Ecrits and Brazilian magazine Mundo Mundano. He runs writing and cinematography workshops in film schools and at the Experimental Centre of Cinematography.
