Alongside his freelance work, he is collaborating on a series project with his friend, journalist David Castello-Lopes. The series consists of 2-minute episodes featuring various characters in humorous stories. He continues his freelance work, contributing to the series J’ai rêvé de l’Europe on Arte, as well as several documentaries for Arte and France Télévisions. He notably directed some animated sequences, such as in Daesh: Les enfants du soupçon by Hélène Lam Trong and Sophie Parmentier, broadcast on France 2, and L’histoire de l’antisémitisme by Jonathan Hayoun on Arte.
Léonard Cohen has also published illustrations in Causette and created the visual identity, posters, and other materials for the 10th anniversary of the Middle East Now festival in Florence. Later, he met Feurat Alani, whose memoirs he illustrated in the graphic novel Flavors of Iraq, before creating the animated web series for Arte in 2018.
