Laura Chatenay-Rivauday is a writer-director from Martinique. She works on very personal themes : insularity, family, notions of traces and borders… Passionate about history and stories, politics and above all images, she explores a variety of narrative forms: film, sound creation, drawing, etc. As a former journalist, she decided to devote herself to documentaries by taking part in Docmonde Amazon-Caribbean residences and training courses at the Fémis and Ateliers Varan. Laura Chatenay-Rivauday lives in Martinique, where her projects focus on the often little-known and forgotten aspects of her island.
