A baby doesn’t survive home birth. Her parents call her Greta. Her midwife and doctor is convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to prison, a lifelong ban from practicing and to damages. After her release from prison, nothing is like before.
I was a midwife for years before I started filming this process.
A documentary narration of ten years.

Katja Baumgarten worked as a midwife for 30 years, studied art and artistic film at the Braunschweig University of Fine Arts. Since 1992 she has directed and produced her own documentaries, mostly autobiographical. Katja also works as a journalist, she lives in Hanover.
